A trip to the Lünersee lake

The Lünersee, once one of the largest natural mountain lakes in the Eastern Alps, is situated at an elevation of 1,970 meters. It is located at the end of the Brandnertal valley but belongs to the municipality of Vandans in Montafon. The lake is easily accessible via the modern Lünerseebahn cable car.

The Lünersee offers a wide range of activities for families, mountain enthusiasts, and nature lovers. It is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes, including the challenging tour to Schesaplana, the highest peak in the Rätikon range. The unique landscape of the Rätikon, the clear mountain air, and the breathtaking Alpine panorama provide an unforgettable nature experience.

For anglers, the Lünersee offers excellent conditions, and climbing enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy. Among the most popular alpine climbing tours are the Kirchlispitzen and the Schesaplana, which are considered some of the most enjoyable climbing routes in the Rätikon.
